How do the Auction House fees work
Your deposit is returned only when you successfully sell your item; it is automatically added to your item final sale price when it is sent to you.
If you bid on an item, then decided to buy it out, your bid is applied to the buy out price. You are only charged the difference between your bid and the buyout amount when you select buyout.
All Auction Houses deduct a fee for successful sales; this is a percentage of the final sale price of the item. This fee is slightly higher in Gadgetzan, Booty Bay, and Everlook.
Items that are not sold or that are cancelled manually are mailed back to your in-game email. When retrieving these items please wait until the item appears in your inventory before you walk away from the mailbox.
