Can I change the name of my character after creation
Our In-game Support Staff is unable to change the name of your character unless the name violates our naming policies, stated here: In-Game Policies.
We understand that some players would very much like to have their name changed, and because of that we have introduced the Paid Character Name Change service.
You can find this feature in the account-management section of the official World of Warcraft website. This functionality will allow you to rename one of your characters (with certain restrictions). Learn more about this new feature in our Paid Character Name Change FAQ.
The initial launch of the Paid Character Name Change service will only allow name changes on a limited set of realms. We¡¯ll gradually scale up the list of realms to accommodate more players as quickly as possible. To start the name change process for a character, just log into the account-management section and click the Paid Character Name Change button. Good luck in your continued adventures in Azeroth, and enjoy this new feature and the subsequent effect that your bold new name will have on friends and foes alike.
Please note that because this service is tied into the account-management section, the Paid Character Name Change service may be unavailable during the regularly scheduled weekly maintenance.
