Demon Hunters in Legion wield powerful Artifact Weapons: Aldrachi Warblades for Vengeance Demon Hunters and Twinblades of the Deceiver for Havoc. This page will cover alpha information about Demon Hunter artifacts - their abilities, appearances, and artifact acquisition questline.
Our Artifact weapon calculators let you select your Artifact traits and relics. Artifact Traits can all eventually be unlocked via Artifact Power, but take time to unlock. Artifact relics increase the item level of your weapon and also grant free additional levels to certain traits.
Artifact Acquisition
After doing the Demon Hunter introductory questline, you will have to select an artifact weapon to work on first. This will then send you on another short questline to acquire your Artifact. This will reveal some of the lore behind your Artifact and encourage you to use some of your unique class abilities when completing the scenario and defeating the final boss.
Your weapon starts out with one base appearance, and additional styles and tints can be unlocked via various activities. Each spec's weapon has 6 styles, which can come in 4 color variations. All of these tints can be previewed on the Appearance tab of the Artifact Calculator or the Legion Dressing Room.
There are different ways to unlock each tint. Some of them include:

Disciples of Illidan

Demon Hunters have two distinct specializations: Havoc and Vengeance. Each brings with it a unique identity that is reflected within the Artifact weapon choices.

  • Havoc Demon Hunters deal quick and lethal damage with the Twinblades of the Deceiver. These glaives of immense power cut through all that would stand in the Demon Hunter¡¯s way.
  • Vengeance Demon Hunters stand strong against all incoming threats. Their weapons of choice are the Aldrachi Warblades, which are infused with the might and incredible resilience of a lost people.

Each Artifact is a symbol of the might of the Demon Hunter that wields it. Names have power¡ªlearn those of these mythic weapons well, for they will be your constant companions against the deadliest foe you¡¯ve faced yet.

Havoc ¨C Twinblades of the Deceiver

These glaives belong to the former demon hunter Varedis Felsoul. Once a member of the Illidari and a sworn enemy of the Burning Legion, he was slain at the Black Temple. After the Legion's leader, Kil'jaeden, revived him in the Twisting Nether, Varedis surrendered to the demon within him, forsaking his mortality. In the process, he and his glaives were infused with great power by Kil'jaeden's eredar allies.

Vengeance ¨CAldrachi Warblades

In ages past, the dark titan, Sargeras, offered the mighty aldrachi people a place in his Burning Legion. But the aldrachi proved incorruptible: they slew innumerable demons before their race was wiped out. Sargeras personally killed their greatest champion and seized his weapons. Much later, a demon hunter willingly became the servant of Sargeras' lieutenant Kil'jaeden. Pleased, Kil'jaeden bestowed the warblades on her, that she might wield a portion of the aldrachi's bygone might, and devastate the mortals of Azeroth with it.
