This is a detailed, in depth guide on leveling an Alliance character from level 20 to level 30. It is focused on questing rather than grinding, though some parts you may be asked to grind. This guide will lead into Jame¡¯s Alliance Leveling Guides and those will bring you all the way to level 70.

Useful Addons
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
These are the addons used in Jame's Guide which are a lot less primitive than the ones I had listed. You will mainly need an addon to display coordinates because I use them to describe locations in my guide (x,y). The one I use is FuBarLocation, which requires you to install FuBar and Ace 2. Below I listed the files you must download and install, they can all be found on this page: http://files.wowace.com/
FuBar - A basic panel in which you can add a lot of different addons with many useful features. I use it mostly for coordinates and XP rates.
FuBar LocationFu - This addon will make your coordinates appear on your FuBar panel.
Fubar ExperienceFu - This will tell you how much XP/hour you are getting (optional)
Ace 2 - You need this for the above mentioned addons to work.
Cartographer - Enables coordinates on your map as well, which will make it easier for you to travel with coordinates. It also removes the fog on unexplored areas of the map, which helps a lot if you are unfamiliar with the zones.
Installing Addons: In case you don't know how to install add-ons, make a folder called Interface in your World of Warcraft directory (if it doesn't exist already). Then you open it and create a folder called Addons inside the Interface folder (if it doesn't exist already). Now every Addon you want to install goes directly into the Addon folder. For example you download and unzip FuBar, you drag the folder called FuBar (not Interface or Addons) into the new Addon folder you created. You restart World of Warcraft completely and it should be working.
If it isn't you might need to log out to your login screen and click on "Addons" in the left lower corner. Tick the box that says "Load out of date Addons". Relaunch WoW.

Basic Rules
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Spend your talent points so you do the most damage possible. (e.g: Priest should specialize in Shadow Talents, Warriors in Arms/Fury, Rogues Combat/Assassination, etc. The exception to this is paladins, they level greatly with a prot spec).
Don't waste your time trying to find groups for questing. You can solo everything that is described in this guide unless I say otherwise. Only group with someone when it's not gonna be a waste of time (e.g: meeting the person at the other end of the map to show him the way to where your quest is, that is a waste of time)
Always log out in an inn or in one of the major cities when you take a break. This gives you rested experience which makes it twice as easy to level.
Don¡¯t take a quest that I do not list in the guide. If I don't mention a quest, it means I consider it a waste of time, so don't take it thinking I forgot a quest here and there, I didn't. Also don't abandon a quest unless I say you should.
Always pay attention where I tell you to set your Hearthstone and don¡¯t change it unless I say so. When I say you should bind somewhere (make an inn your home location), it's for a good reason, and it will save you much time.

The Guide

I. Level 20a
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
First you¡¯ll need to get to the city of Stormwind. If you don¡¯t have the flight path here get it. Do what you need to here (train, sell, etc.) and leave the town through the south gate when you¡¯re ready. Follow the road until you get to Goldshire. Once here, head down the eastern road. Keep going until you come to a tower on the left side of the road (64,68). Go inside and get the quest [21] A Watchful Eye from Theocritus at the top. Head back to the road and continue east until you come to Redridge Mountains.
Keep going and you¡¯ll come to the town Lakeshire. Get the flight path in front of the bridge. Cross the bridge and get the quest [18] The Price of Shoes from Verner Osgood.
Fly to Stormwind and head to Goldshire again. Turn in your quest to Smith Argus. Get the follow-up and return to Stormwind. Then fly to Lakeshire.
If you have done [16] The Lost Tools, skip this next paragraph. If you haven¡¯t, pick it up from Foreman Oslow. Head east to Lake Everstill. About in the middle you¡¯ll find the Sunken Chest at the bottom (41,54). Look out for Lake Thresher, a level 25 elite Loch Ness Monster looking thing. Loot Oslow's Toolbox then turn it back in to Foreman Oslow.
Cross the bridge and get the following quests:
[21] Blackrock Menace from Marshall Marris
[20] The Everstill Bridge from Foreman Oslow
[18] Underbelly Scales from Verner Osgood (becomes the follow-up after turning in your current quest to him)
[20] A Baying of Gnolls from Verner Osgood
[21] Selling Fish from Dockmaster Baren
[20] Murloc Poachers from Dockmaster Baren
Go to the inn and make it your home location.

II. Level 20b
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
From now on kill any Black Dragon Whelp you come across.
1. Head east out of town to the lake. You¡¯ll immediately come across a murloc camp (40,45). Murlocs are all around this area in the water. Kill them until you complete [21] Selling Fish and [20] Murloc Poachers.
2. Head north along the road until you see a dirt path on your left leading to a gnoll camp (38,32). Kill these guys until you finish [20] A Baying of Gnolls and [20] The Everstill Bridge. You can also head northwest into the mountains for more to kill (in fact you may need to for more mystics).
3. Head back to the road and follow it northeast to Render¡¯s Camp at (44,18). Since we can¡¯t go further into the camp because of the higher levels, we¡¯re going to do a triangle between three spots until we finish [18] Underbelly Scales and [21] Blackrock Menace. Once you killed all the orcs here, head south to (42,32) and kill Black Dragon Whelps around this area. Once you killed them all, head southwest to (39,40) and kill the Blackrock Orcs here. Head between the three coordinates, (44,18), (42,32), and (39,40), until you finish your 2 quests.
4. Head back to Lakeshire and turn in your 6 quests (turn in [18] Underbelly Scales to Verner Osgood first because at level 21 it become green and we want to most experience for it). Get the follow-up for [20] A Baying of Gnolls called [21] Howling in the Hills.
Sell junk, repair, re-stock food/drink.

III. Level 21a
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Head north to the mountains where the gnolls are (27,21). Yowler is here in a camp with two others. Kill him and take his paw.
2. Return to Lakeshire and turn in your quest. Head across the bridge and follow the road until you get to a crossroad (15,71). Take the southern road until you get to Duskwood.
Sell junk, repair, re-stock food/drink.

IV. Level 21b
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Keep following the road until you get to the town of Darkshire. Once here, get the flight path.
Go to the inn and make it your home location.
Head across the road (sort of) to a big, house-like building. Get the quests [20] Raven Hill and [23] Deliveries to Sven from Elaine Carevin.
2. Follow the road south out of town. Continue following it until you get to a group of NPCs (45,66). Get the quest [21] Eight Legged Menaces from Watcher Dodds.
3. Continue along the road west until you get to Raven Hill (18,56). Turn in your quest to Jitters and get the follow-up.
From now on kill any Pygmy Venom Web Spiders you see.
4. Head to a camp northwest of you at (7,33). Turn in your quest to Sven Yorgen and get the follow-up. Also get the quest [21] Wolves at Our Heels from Lars.
Kill any Starving Dire Wolf and Rabid Dire Wolf you come across
5. Head east to (27,31) where you¡¯ll find a small shack. Get the quest [24] Supplies from Darkshire from Abercrombie inside.
6. Finish [21] Wolves at Our Heels and return to the camp to turn it in.
7. Head south while finishing [21] Eight Legged Menaces and also getting 6 Gooey Spider Legs. Once done with that, head east along the road until you get to the small group of NPCs at (45,66) and turn in your quest. Then hearth to Darkshire.
8. In Darkshire, turn in your quest to Chef Grual and get the follow-up. Head outside and turn in your quest to Madame Eva. Get the follow-up. Head outside and get the quest [24] The Night Watch from Commander Althea Ebonlocke. You should definitely be Level 22 by now. Fly to Stormwind.
Note: Don¡¯t sell your Gooey Spider Legs you have gotten before. You need them for a quest.
Sell junk, repair, re-stock food/drink, and train.
When you¡¯re ready, fly back to Darkshire.

V. Level 22a

1. Head southeast to (81,59) and turn in your quest to Blind Mary and get the follow-up.
2. Go south to The Tranquil Gardens Cemetery at (79,70). Kill the mobs here until you finish [24] The Night Watch.
3. Return to Darkshire and turn in your 3 quests but don¡¯t get the follow-ups. Get the quest [25] Seasoned Wolf Kabobs from Chef Grual inside the inn as well.

VI. Level 22b

Fly to Stormwind.
Sell junk, repair, re-stock food/drink.
Head to the western district called the Mage Quarter. Make a left once you enter this district until you see Collin Mauren standing on your left on the raised sidewalk (43,80). Get his quest [26] Retriveal for Mauren. When you¡¯re ready, take the tram to Ironforge. Fly to Thelsmar, Loch Modan (or walk there if you don¡¯t have the flight path and get it once there). Once there, follow the main road north until you get to a tunnel in the mountains. Get the quest [21] The Algaz Gauntlet from Mountaineer Rockgar in front of it. Head through the tunnel.

VII. Level 22c
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. This will bring you to The Wetlands. Go through the next tunnel where you¡¯ll find some orcs to your left side (48,74). Start killing these guys until you get this kills you need for [21] The Algaz Gauntlet. Keep going through the next 2 tunnels (upon which receiving the Traverse Dun Algaz (complete) message). Welcome to The Wetlands, one of my personal favorite zones .
2. Keep following this main road until you get to a crossroads where you¡¯ll see Einar Stonegrip (49,39). Get his quest [21] Daily Delivery and continue on the road.
3. Eventually you¡¯ll come to the town of Menethil Harbor. Get the following quests here:
[24] In Search of The Excavation Team from Tarrel Rockweaver (on the bridge leading into town)
Turn in your quest to Valstag Ironjaw inside the keep
[20] Fiora Longears from Red Jack Flint
[22] Young Crocolisk Skins from James Halloran (turn in your quest to him as well)
[22] Claws from the Deep from Karl Boran
[21] The Greenwarden from First Mate Fitzsimmons
[24] Digging Through the Ooze from Sida
Get the flight path here.
Go to the inn and make it your home location.

VIII. Level 22d
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
From now on kill any Young Wetlands Crocolisk you come across.
1. Once you¡¯re ready, head north out of town until you get to some murloc camps (15,41). At (17,39) you¡¯ll find Gobbler. Kill him and loot his head then kill the rest of the Bluegill Murlocs you need for [22] Claws from the Deep.
2. Head east along the road, killing Crocolisks along the way. At about (33,38), you should see an opening in the mountains to the south. Go through it to Whelgar¡¯s Excavation Site. To your left will be a path leading up the mountain. Follow this until you get to a small camp of NPCs. Get the quest [24] Ormer¡¯s Revenge from Ormer Ironbraid outside the cave. Turn in your quest to Merrin Rockweaver inside the cave and get the follow-up.
3. Head out of this area and continue east along the main road. Go to (56,40) where you¡¯ll find Rethiel the Greenwarden. Turn in your quest and get the follow-up [21] Tramping Paws.
4. Head southeast to (62,70) where you¡¯ll find a bunch of gnolls. Kill here until you finish [21] Tramping Paws.
5. Return to Rethiel the Greenwarden and turn in your quest as well as grab the follow-up. This should make you Level 23 if you¡¯re not already.

IX. Level 23a
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Head northwest to (44,24). Here you¡¯ll find Black Oozes. Kill them until you get Sida¡¯s Bag.
2. Head south to (38,29) where you¡¯ll find some more gnolls. Kill these guys until you get 9 Crude Flints.
3. Return to Rethiel the Greenwarden and turn in your quest. Get the follow-up.
4. Head southwest a ways back toward the excavation site is. Don¡¯t go inside but instead, move west of the mountains where you¡¯ll find a lot of raptors (25,47). Kill the Mottled Raptors and Mottled Screechers here until you complete [24] Ormer¡¯s Revenge. A hint for the screechers: they call for help so if any other raptor is near them they¡¯ll attack you too. Be sure to pull these guys away from any other raptor before you kill them.
5. Head back up to the excavation site in the mountains at (38,51) and turn in your quest to Ormer Ironbraid. Get the follow-up.
6. Return to Menethil Harbor and turn in your 4 quests but don¡¯t get the follow-ups. This should bring you at least half way to Level 24.
Sell junk, repair, re-stock food/drink.
When you¡¯re ready, head out to the northern dock on the shore (that would be the dock on the right when facing them). Wait for the boat that will take you to Auberdine, Darkshore. Hop on it when it arrives.

X. Level 23b
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Once there, walk down the pier toward town. Turn in your quest to Fiora Longears along the way and get the follow-up. Get the flight path in town and follow the main road south. Keep going until you get to the zone, Ashenvale.

XI. Level 23c
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Head south until you get to Maestra¡¯s Post (26,38). Get the quest [20] Bathran¡¯s Hair from Orendil Broadleaf.
2. Head south along the main road and keep following it until you get to the town of Astranaar. Get the flight path and turn in your quest to Shindrell Swiftfire next to it. Get the follow-up from her [19] The Zoram Strand. Go to the building across the road and get the two quests [21] On Guard in Stonetalon and [25] A Helping Hand. Head inside the inn and get the two quests from Raene Wolfrunner.
Go to the inn and make it your home location.

XII. Level 23d
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Head west out of town to (31,46) where you should see a path leading north. Follow this path clearing your way to (34,37). You should see Dal Bloodclaw wondering around this area. Kill him and loot his skull.
2. Head northwest out of the mountains until you get to some undead (31,22). Look for the bags on the ground called Plant Bundles. Loot them until you finish [20] Bathran¡¯s Hair.
3. Head southwest to The Zoram Strand (13,26). Once there kill the Wrathtail Nagas until you get 20 Wrathtail Heads.
4. Head southeast to (20,42). Go to the island in the middle of the small lake. Turn in your quest to the corpse there and get the follow-up. Now kill the Saltspittle Warriors around here until you get Glowing Gem.
5. Head northeast to Maestra¡¯s Post and turn in your quest. Get the follow-up and head to Astranaar.
6. Turn in all your quests and get the follow-ups. Be sure and get the quest [21] Pridewings of Stonetalon from Shindrell Swiftfire. This should make you Level 24. If not, just go on with the next circle. You may fly to Darnassus or Exodar to train you new skills (closest trainer for Warlocks is all the way in Ratchet so you need to go there or all the way back to Ironforge).
Sell junk, repair, re-stock food/drink.
When you¡¯re ready, return to Astranaar and head southeast out of town until you get to Talondeep Path (43,71). Follow this tunnel all the way through to Stonetalon Mountains.

XIII. Level 24a
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Head southwest here until you get to a small building next to the mountains (58,62). Inside, talk to Ziz Fizziks and get his quest [21] Super Reaper 6000.
2. Head out of this valley area and northwest on the main road. Not just around a bend you¡¯ll see a small Alliance camp (59,66). Turn in your quest to Kaela Shadowspear and get the follow-up. Turn this quest in to Gaxim Rustfizzle right next to you. Get the follow-up [21] A Gnome¡¯s Respite.
From now on kill any Young Pridewing you see along the way.
3. Head northeast into the valley again. Keep going until you get to some Venture Co. guys. Kill the Venture Co. Loggers and Venture Co. Deforesters as you make your way to (62,52). Here you¡¯ll find Venture Co. Operators. Kills these guys until one of them drops Super Reaper 6000 Blueprints. Continue to kill Venture Co. Loggers, generally around (62,54), and Venture Co. Deforesters, generally around (65,53), until you finish [21] A Gnome¡¯s Respite.
4. Head back to Ziz Fizziks and turn in your quest to him. Don¡¯t get the follow-up.
5. Return to the Alliance camp a little further up the hill. Turn in your quest but don¡¯t take the follow-ups.
6. Get on the main road and follow it north. You¡¯ll soon come to Mirkfallon Lake (45,46) and (50,43). In these two spots you¡¯ll find Pridewings all around the lake. Kill them until you complete [21] Pridewings of Stonetalon.
7. Get back on the main road and head southwest to The Charred Vale (32,66). Start killing Blackened Basilisks until you complete [26] Retrieval for Mauren.

XIV. Level 24b
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hearth to Astranaar.
Sell junk, repair, re-stock food/drink.
1. Head southeast until you get to some Foulweald camps (50,61). Clear the guys here. If you haven¡¯t quite finished [24] An Aggressive Defense after you kill everything, don¡¯t worry because we¡¯re coming back later.
2. Head south to Silverwind Refuge (50,67). Get the quest [24] Elemental Bracers from Sentinel Velene Starstrike inside.
3. Jump into the lake directly south of you. Kill the Befouled Water Elementals here until you get 5 Intact Elemental Bracers from one of them. Once you have them, use your Divining Scroll.
4. Return to Silverwind Refuge and turn in your quest. Do not get the follow-up.
5. Head north to the Foulweald camp and finish [24] An Aggressive Defense.
6. Get back on the main road and head east. Eventually you¡¯ll come to a small town on the northern side of the road called Forest Song (87,45). Turn in your quest to Architect Nemos. Don¡¯t get any of the quests here, just the flight path. Fly to Astranaar.
By now you should be level 25 or close to it. Turn in your 2 quests here.
Sell junk, repair, re-stock food/drink.

XV. Level 25a
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. East of Astranaar along the main road you¡¯ll find a small path leading north. Follow this to Iris Lake (46,46) and grab one of the Elune¡¯s Tears on the island in the middle of the lake.
2. Head east out of this area through the hills ahead of you (it¡¯s very easy to get down them) and then head northeast. You¡¯ll come to a moonwell where you¡¯ll find Shael¡¯dryn (53,46). Turn in your quest and get the follow-up.
3. Get out of this area and return to Astranaar. Turn in your quest here and get the follow-up. Fly to Auberdine and take the boat to Menethil Harbor.
Once in Menethil Harbor grab the following quests:
[25] Reclaiming Goods from Karl Boran
[26] Apprentice¡¯s Duties from James Halloran
[25] Fall of Dun Modr from Harlo Barnaby
[26] Report to Captain Stoutfist from Valstag Ironjaw (which you turn in at the top floor of the keep)
[26] War Banners from Captain Stoutfist (follow-up of previous
[27] The Third Fleet from First Mate Fitzsimmons
Once you done with that, head inside the inn and buy a Flagon of Mead.
Go to the inn and make it your home location.
Turn in your quest to First Mate Fitzsimmons just outside but don¡¯t get the follow-up. Do what you need to here before we leave.

XVI. level 25b
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Head to Whelgar¡¯s Excavation Site and up the hill to the camp. Get the quest [28] Uncovering the Past from Prospector Whelgar and head down into the actual site. From now on kill Mottled Scytheclaws and Mottled Razormaws along the way as you finish this quest. You¡¯ll see these things on the ground that are either jars, loose soil, or small tomb-like structures. These are hard to map as they spawn all over the place so just look for them while finishing your other quest.
Once you finish [27] Ormer¡¯s Revenge (it¡¯s okay if you didn¡¯t finish [28] Uncovering the Past, we¡¯re coming right back to the site), head back to the camp and turn in your quest. Get the follow-up and head to the western side of this small valley. At about (31,38) you¡¯ll see a path leading up into the mountains. Follow this up and around until you get to the top ledge. Here you¡¯ll see Sarltooth. He¡¯s level 29 but a pretty easy kill. If you don¡¯t think you can kill him, leave him for now and come back later. The reason we came up here anyway is to see if there is another fragment we can get. If you killed him, get his claw. Finish [28] Uncovering the Past and return to the camp. Turn in your 1 (or 2) quest(s).
From now on kill any Giant Wetlands Crocolisk and Fen Creeper you encounter
2. Leave this area and head east until you see some Dragonmaw Orcs on your right. Make your way into Angerfang Encampment at (43,43) and kill the orcs here until you complete [26] War Banners.
3. Once done with that, head northwest into the swamps until you come to a small house with a windmill (26,25). Around this house (typically to around the northern side) you¡¯ll find Giant Wetlands Crocolisks and Fen Creepers. Make wide semi-circles around the northern side of the house until you finish [26] Apprentice¡¯s Duties and [26] Blisters on The Land (the Fen Creepers are invisible and roam only in the water so you¡¯ll have to look for them).
4. Head southeast to Rethiel the Greenwarden at (56,40). Turn in your quest to him.
5. Hearth to Menethil Harbor and head north to Bluegill Marsh. Go to the camp at (13,41) and turn in your quest to the Damaged Crate there. Get the follow up and head to the camp just north of you (13,38). Turn in your quest to the sealed barrel and get the follow-up. Head to the camp north of you and turn in your quest there (13,34). Get the follow-up and go to Menethil Harbor.
6. Turn in you 3 quests but don¡¯t get the follow-up. This should make you over Level 26. Fly to Ironforge.

XVII. Level 25c
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sell junk, repair, re-stock food/drink, and train.
Take the tram to Stormwind. By now you should have your Bronze Tube so grab that out of your bank or wherever. Head to the trade district from the old town but don¡¯t enter the actual district. After crossing the bridge to the trade district, make a left here and head to the end of the wall of the trade district. Here you¡¯ll find the shop Fragrant Flowers (64,60). Head inside and buy Stormwind Seasoning Herbs from Felicia Gum. Now go to the Mage¡¯s Quarter and turn in your quest to Collin Mauren. Once that¡¯s done, fly to Lakeshire.
Get the following quests from here:
[25] Blackrock Bounty from Guard Howe (right next to you)
[23] Shadow Magic from Marshal Marris
[25] Tharil¡¯zun from Marshal Marris
[26] Wanted: Gath¡¯llzogg from wanted poster in front of town hall
[23] Solomon¡¯s Law from Bailiff Conacher (inside town hall)
[26] Wanted: Lieutenant Fangore from wanted poster in front of inn
[24] An Unwelcome Guest from Martie Jainrose (west side of town)
From where you¡¯re at, head west out of town until you see Bellygrub (16,49). Kill him, loot his tusk, then turn in the quest just east of you.
Go to the inn and make it your home location.
Sell junk, repair, re-stock food/drink.
Look in you quest log to make sure you still have a quest we got in the beginning called [21] A Watchful Eye. If not, refer to the beginning on how to get it.

XVIII. Level 26a
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Head northeast along the main road into the mountains. Take the left path once the road falls apart to get to Render¡¯s Camp (35,9). Kill any Blackrock Champion you see as you make your way to the back where you¡¯ll find a cave. Enter and go down the left side and make your way to the bottom.
