World of Warcraft Warrior PvP Guides

Cheap WoW WOTLK Classic Gold

Player Versus Player combat in World of Warcraft brings an in depth and unique aspect to the game. To go up and test your skills against other human beings instead of a computer can be a very fulfilling experience. However, losing constantly is not quite as fulfilling. Below are a few unusual strategies that have been tested and proven in combat to work.

Using PvP World of Warcraft Macros

A macro is a method of combining several actions together into one keystroke. It is easy to imagine how effective this would be in PvP, where speed is so essential.

A good PvP Warrior¡¯s interface should be loaded--if not overloaded--with macros. The most important macros involve ¡°stance dancing,¡± the ability to switch stances quickly to utilize all of the Warrior¡¯s abilities. This is especially important for Arms and Protection Warriors. A good macro to do this will also allow you to switch weapons as you switch stances: one handed weapon and shield for Defensive Stance, two handed weapon for Battle and Berserker Stances.

The Macro would look something like this:

  • Defensive Stance with one handed weapon and shield

/cast Defensive Stance

/equipslot 16 Epic weapon of killing things

/equipslot 17 Epic shield of not being killed

  • Battle Stance with Two handed weapon

/cast Battle Stance

/equipslot 16 awesome weapon of ownage

  • Berserker Stance with two handed weapon

/cast Berserker Stance

/equipslot 16 awesome weapon of ownage

Using World of Warcraft Potions in PvP

If the warrior is not using potions, he is missing out on a huge advantage. Healing potions are the obvious one, but browsing the Auction House will turn up many potions that the Warrior can utilize well. A Swiftness potion is great to run down a long range attacker. A Haste potion in the hands of a Fury Warrior is fear incarnate. A Free Action Potion makes you immune to movement impairers and stuns.

There are many potions there to suit the Warrior¡¯s style of play. The only downside is a long cool down, usually of two minutes. During this time, the warrior can not use Healing Potions to heal himself and becomes reliant on other players to heal him.

Some Useful Potions:

  • Haste Potion +400 Haste
  • Ironshield Potion +2500 Armor
  • Limited Invulnerability Potion Reduces physical damage by 120
  • Swiftness Potion +50% run speed
  • Great Rage Potion +30-60 Rage
  • Oil of Immolation 50 Fire damage every 3 seconds to all enemies within 5 Yard radius

World of Warcraft Emotes in PvP

Remember that when in PvP the players are facing off against other players with emotions opposed to a computer. A good taunting can do wonders towards giving the warrior the advantage.

An effective strategy in battlegrounds is to set up an ambush using a rogue, a stealthed druid, or a night elf in Shadowmeld. Use an emote like /spit or /roar on your target. If he takes the bait, switch to Defensive Stance and take his attack. The Warrior¡¯s partners will then pound on his victim. The enemy will have no one to blame but his own stupidity.

Emotes often gain you a reputation among the enemy, which may not have any in game benefits but is a certain stroke to the Warrior¡¯s ego. If a player /salutes enough enemies after killing them, it will not be long until they find enemies /saluting as well.

The important advice to remember is to think outside the box. Use a Noggenfogger Elixir to look like the enemy. Use a Limited Invisibility Potion to scout them. Bite, kick, scratch, and do what ever you can to gain the advantage over the enemy.

There is no honor in World of Warcraft, only victory.
