When you are talking to the Auctioneer NPC, select the "Bids" Tab to see the current status of the items you are bidding on. You will also receive a yellow text message in your chat window letting you know if you were outbid or if you have won an auction regardless of where you are in the game. Remember that when you are outbid on an auction, your bid money is sent back to you via the in-game mail system unless you are inside the Auction House. Please note that the mail system is not instantaneous, any mail with an item or money in it may take at least an hour to be available for your character to pick up.
